Shipping Calculator

Use the Shipping Calculator to estimate courier options, transit times, and shipping charges before shipping. These values are estimates, not guaranteed final charges.

Open your profile menu and select Shipping Calculator.

If the calculator is not available, access may be disabled for your account. Ask your Account Manager to review calculator access.

Get a rate estimate

  1. Select the Warehouse that will ship the parcel.
  2. Add one or more destination Countries.
  3. Enter Postal Code when the field appears.
  4. Choose Packing Dimensions or SKU under Product information.
  5. Enter the package details for the selected product information mode.
  6. Confirm Has batteries and Has liquids when using Packing Dimensions.
  7. Select Get Quote.
  8. Review each destination and its available services.

The calculator does not place an order. Use a result as an estimate, then create or update the shipment through the applicable order workflow.

Calculator form

Origin and destination

Field Use
Warehouse Selects the warehouse that provides the origin details.
Countries Sets one or more destinations for the quote.
Postal Code Appears when one country is selected. An asterisk means it is required.
Courier type Optionally limits the result to a courier category.
Couriers Optionally limits the result to selected courier services or groups.

When you enter several countries, the calculator runs a separate rate estimate for each destination.

Package details

Under Product information, choose one of these modes:

  • Packing Dimensions uses the package measurements entered in the form.
  • SKU uses the saved dimensions and weight of products added from your catalog.

For Packing Dimensions, enter the following values:

Field Requirement Use
Width Required Uses cm or inches.
Height Required Uses cm or inches.
Length Required Uses cm or inches.
Weight Required Uses kg or lbs.
Quantity Optional Sets the number of pieces.
Customs Value Required Sets the declared value per piece.
HS Code Optional Accepts 6, 8, 10, or 12 digits.

Select a unit label to choose cm or inches and kg or lbs before entering measurements.

For SKU, search by SKU, description, or UPC. Add one or more products to Items, then set each quantity. The item's saved dimensions and weight are used for the estimate.

Contents and display options

The following content controls appear when Packing Dimensions is selected:

Control Action
Has batteries Set Yes or No. Battery Type appears when you choose Yes.
Has liquids Set Yes or No.

When Has batteries is Yes, select the applicable Battery Type. Rate availability depends on the services eligible for the route and declared contents. Do not clear the flag to obtain an estimate.

Select Show original amounts to display original carrier values when they are available.

Results

Results are grouped by destination country. Each group lists available services in price order.

Column Meaning
Service Courier service and any trade-term badges.
Courier Type Category of courier service.
Transit Estimated transit time in days.
Ch. Weight Actual or dimensional chargeable weight, whichever is greater.
Price Estimated shipping cost.
T&D&F Estimated taxes, duties, and fees. The column appears when results include these values.

Viewing courier requirements

Select the information icon beside an individual courier service to open Eligible Rules. The panel lists the configured rules for that service.

Column Meaning
Rule Name Name of the courier requirement.
Countries Destinations covered by the rule. All means every destination.
Parameters Limits or required values for the rule.
Additional Notes Further explanation configured for the rule.

A country-scoped rule with no countries configured is omitted because it applies to no destination. Rules can cover address format, contact details, package limits, customs values, or supported destinations.

The panel filters rules to the first selected destination country when it opens. Select Clear Filter to view every rule for the service.

Use the same information icon beside the Courier field in an order form to check a selected service. Calculator eligibility does not replace the other required order fields.

Downloading results

Select the download icon in the Rates panel to export the current quote as a CSV file. The export includes these result columns:

  • Service
  • Courier Type
  • Trade term
  • Transit Time (days)
  • Chargeable Weight (kg)
  • Price (USD)
  • Additional

The file also includes the warehouse and item inputs used for the quote.

Charges and estimates

Chargeable weight

Couriers use the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is derived from the package dimensions. Reducing package size can lower the estimate.

Final charges

The carrier determines the final chargeable weight after it receives the shipment. T&D&F and trade-term amounts in the calculator are estimates. Compare the completed order and invoice lines for the charges that apply.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Solution
The quote button is unavailable A required field or required postal code is missing Complete the fields marked with an asterisk and try again.
No courier results appear No eligible service matches the route, package, or content Check the countries, measurements, weight, and courier rules.
No rates are returned for declared battery contents No available courier accepts the selected battery type and route, or another requirement is not met Keep the declared contents accurate. Review Eligible Rules and contact your Account Manager if needed.
A service is absent from the results The service is unavailable for that origin, destination, or package Change the route or package details, or ask your Account Manager about availability.
The calculator accepts a route but the order fails The order has additional fields or requirements beyond the quote Open Eligible Rules and correct the reported order requirement.
Eligible Rules does not load The rule data could not be retrieved Close and reopen the panel. Contact support if the error continues.
A courier cannot be selected for activation The courier is already active Use the service without changing its activation state.
Courier activation fails The selected courier change could not be saved Retry the request. If it fails again, contact your Account Manager.
