Master Orders

Master Orders

At a glance: Find courier consolidation shipments, inspect their child orders, and follow master tracking.

Overview

Orders → Master Orders lists orders created for courier shipment consolidation. The portal groups eligible orders into a master while preparing them for fulfilment. Each child remains a separate order.

The list and each master detail require Orders access. Contact your Account Manager if you need access.

[pref is_fic_orders_enabled] FIC Orders → Master Orders is a separate list for FIC cross-docking shipments. See FIC Orders for that workflow. [endpref]

Quick start

  1. Open Orders → Master Orders.
  2. Search for a known reference or set the Order Date.
  3. Select the master's Floship ID.
  4. Review Hub, Destination Countries, Child Orders, and Packages.
  5. Scroll to Tracking when the panel appears.

Master order list

Column Contents
Order Date Date the master order was created
Floship ID Master order reference
Courier Courier assigned to the master shipment
Status Current master order status

Search matches Floship ID, Order ID, an exact tracking number, or a configured IOSS or OSS number. Recipient names are not searchable.

Use Order Date and Filter to narrow the list. Available filters include State, Status, Courier, Client, Warehouse, SKU, Destination Country, Tracking Status, and Invoiced Status.

Master order details

The master detail shows its status and courier. The Hub panel identifies the consolidation origin and lists Destination Countries.

Open Additional Details to view Child Orders. Each child links to its own order details and retains its individual status and courier. The child's Parent Order field links back to the master.

The Packages section shows documents stored for the master shipment. When tracking data exists, the Tracking panel shows current status, event details, last location, and update time.

For a child shipment's available tracking, open the child order and use its tracking controls.

How consolidation works

Only orders assigned to a consolidation-enabled courier can join a master. The portal groups orders by client, warehouse, origin location, and courier setup.

Some couriers group by source hub. Others group by destination country. A master may remain unapproved until courier settings for order count, weight, or both are met.

A child remains in the regular Orders list and can be opened from the master's Child Orders list. Consolidation does not merge ordinary orders or move order lines between them.

Fulfilling a master also fulfils its remaining non-fulfilled children. The master carries the consolidated shipping label and tracking.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Solution
A master order cannot be opened Your account does not have Orders access Ask your Account Manager to grant Orders access
An expected master is missing Search, date, or filters exclude it, or consolidation has not occurred Clear filters and search by a known ID; ask your Account Manager if the order qualifies
An order is missing from Orders The current search, filter, or archive setting excludes it Grouped orders remain separate; clear filters or include archived orders
A master shows no Tracking panel The master has no tracking status or event information yet Check again after a courier update; contact your Account Manager if a fulfilled master has none
Only part of the child list is shown The detail initially limits long child lists Select Show More in Child Orders
A search for a recipient returns nothing Recipient names are not included in master search Search by Floship ID, Order ID, or exact tracking number
The order shows Consolidation weight limit exceeded Adding it would exceed the master weight limit and the courier disallows that excess Contact your Account Manager to review the consolidation setup
