Return Analytics

Quick Summary: View return trends, breakdowns, and performance metrics to understand why customers return items and how returns are processed.

Overview

The Return Analytics dashboard provides visual insights into your return activity. Use it to identify return trends, top return reasons, and processing efficiency.

Navigate to Returns → Return Analytics to access the dashboard.

Note: If you don't see Return Analytics in your menu, contact your Account Manager to enable it.

Quick Start

  1. Navigate to Returns → Return Analytics
  2. Select a return type: RMA Returns, Courier Returns, or All
  3. Set the date range using the date filter
  4. Review the summary cards and charts below

Filters

Filter Description
RMA Returns Show only returns initiated through the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process
Courier Returns Show only returns handled by courier pickup
All Show all return types combined
Date Range Filter data by a specific date range

Summary Cards

The top section shows key return metrics at a glance:

Card Description
Fulfilled Orders Total orders fulfilled in the selected period
Returns Initiated Number of returns created
Returns Cancelled Number of returns that were cancelled
Returns Received Number of returns received at the warehouse
Return Items Approved Number of returned items approved for restocking
Returns On Hold Number of returns currently on hold
Return Items Pending Restock Number of returned items waiting to be restocked

Charts and Breakdowns

The dashboard includes these visual breakdowns:

Return Value Total return value, broken down by RMA and courier returns, plus average return value and return rate
Breakdown by Return Reasons Which return reasons are most common
Overview of Returns in Progress Current return statuses and processing pipeline
Rate of Return (%) Monthly return rate trend over time
Breakdown of Returns by SKU Which products are returned most frequently
Breakdown of Returns by Warehouse Return volume by warehouse location
Breakdown of Returns by Countries Return volume by origin country
Embedded Form Vs Manual Return Returns created via embedded form versus manual creation
Return Actions Breakdown Distribution of actions taken on returned items (restocked, disposed, forwarded, etc.)

Workflows

Workflow: Identify Top Return Reasons

When: You want to understand why customers return items most frequently.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Returns → Return Analytics
  2. Select All to include all return types
  3. Set the date range to the period you want to analyze
  4. Scroll to the Breakdown by Return Reasons chart

Result: The chart shows which return reasons have the highest volume, helping you identify product or fulfillment issues.

When: You want to track whether your return rate is improving or worsening.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Returns → Return Analytics
  2. Select All return types
  3. Set a date range covering several months
  4. Review the Rate of Return (%) chart

Result: The monthly trend chart shows how your return rate changes over time.

Workflow: Find Most-Returned Products

When: You want to identify which SKUs have the highest return volume.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Returns → Return Analytics
  2. Set the relevant date range
  3. Scroll to the Breakdown by SKU chart

Result: The chart highlights the products with the most returns, so you can investigate quality or listing issues.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Solution
Dashboard shows no data Date range doesn't include any returns Expand the date range or check that returns exist in the selected period
Return Analytics not in menu Feature not enabled for your account Contact your Account Manager to enable Returns
Charts not loading Browser or network issue Refresh the page. If the issue persists, try a different browser
