Addresses
Addresses
Quick Summary: Save and manage reusable address records for orders, labels, and customs documents.
Overview
Use Addresses to keep reusable recipient, ship-from, importer, exporter, and customs broker records. The five tabs group addresses by their role in an order.
Keep coverage distinct when several records serve the same countries. More than one matching record can qualify for an order.
Quick start
- Open the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Addresses.
- Select the address type tab.
- Select + Add New.
- Complete each required field.
- Select Save.
Required fields have an asterisk. Some tabs also require State/Province for the United States, Canada, or Australia. These tabs are Address Book, Ship From Locations, Importer Addresses, and Exporter Addresses.
Address types
| Tab | Use |
|---|---|
| Address Book | Save recipient addresses for use when creating orders |
| Ship From Locations | Save source locations for orders that begin from your own location |
| Importer Addresses | Save importer of record details for customs paperwork |
| Exporter Addresses | Save exporter details for commercial invoices and customs paperwork |
| Customs Broker Addresses | Save broker details for destination countries |
Address Book
Store recipient addresses for reuse on orders.
Required fields are Full Name, Address 1, City, and Country. The form also provides Company, Phone, Email, Tax ID, Address 2, Address 3, Postal Code, and State/Province.
Ship From Locations
Store source locations for pickup orders and other shipments that start from your own location.
Required fields are Location Name, Full Name, Phone, Email, Address 1, Postal Code, City, and Country. Phone must use international format, such as +12223435678 .
The default company address cannot be removed from this page.
Importer Addresses
Store importer of record details for customs paperwork.
Required fields are Full Name, Address 1, City, Country, and Destination Countries. You can also add company, contact, tax, address, description, and Commercial Invoice Notes details.
Exporter Addresses
Store shipper details for commercial invoices and customs paperwork.
Required fields are Company and Ship from Country. Add at least one country under Ship to Countries before an assigned exporter can be used.
If you enter any address line, City and Postal Code also become required.
An assigned exporter with countries takes priority over automatic selection. If Ship to Countries is empty, exporter details remain unavailable, even when another exporter could match.
Customs Broker Addresses
Store the broker and address used for customs clearance in selected destination countries.
Complete Full Name, Address 1, City, Country, and Destination Countries. The form also provides company, contact, tax, address, and commercial invoice note fields.
How address matching works
Assigned importer and customs broker records take priority over automatic matching. Without an assignment, they match by destination country. Unassigned exporters match by destination, using the ship-from country when available.
Choose destination countries carefully. Automatic matching requires the destination in the record's destination list.
Edit or remove an address
- Open Addresses from the profile menu.
- Select the address type tab.
- Select the saved address.
- Update its fields and select Save.
To remove an address, select Remove beside it and confirm. Removing an address is not reversible.
A default Ship From Location cannot be removed. Removing an importer or exporter address clears it only from Pending Approval orders.
Removing a customs broker address clears it from Incomplete, Pending Approval, and On Hold orders. Review those orders after a removal.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| A saved recipient is unavailable when creating an order | The record is missing from Address Book or does not match the search | Open Addresses → Address Book and check the record |
| Exporter details are absent from an invoice | The assigned exporter has no Ship to Countries, or no exporter matches the route | Add a Ship to Countries entry or correct the route countries |
| The wrong customs record is selected | More than one record covers the destination | Reduce overlapping Destination Countries or assign the correct record to the order |
| A Ship From Location cannot be removed | It is the default company address | Contact your Account Manager to change the default |
