Progress Timeline
A visual progress bar shows the shipment's journey through three stages:
- Shipped — Package has been picked up by the courier
- In Transit — Package is moving toward the destination
- Delivered — Package has been delivered
If the shipment encounters a problem, the final stage shows Exception or Expired (both displayed in red) instead of Delivered.
Map View
A map displays the package's journey with checkpoint locations plotted and connected. Each pin represents a location where the courier scanned the package.
Tracking Number Selector
If an order has multiple packages, use the dropdown to switch between tracking numbers for each package.
Checkpoint Events
The event history table shows every tracking update:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Local Time Zone | When the event occurred in your timezone |
| Destination Time Zone | When the event occurred in the destination timezone |
| Status | The tracking status at that point, with the courier's message |
| Location | Where the package was scanned |
Events are shown in chronological order. Use the Sort dropdown to switch between ascending and descending order.
Note: Red text below a status indicates a subtag message from the courier — this provides additional detail about exceptions or delivery issues.
Return to Sender (RTS)
When a courier returns a package to the sender — due to delivery failures, invalid address, or other reasons — the system detects this automatically.
How to Identify RTS Orders
- In the tracking list, a red arrow icon (↩) appears next to the tracking number
- The tracking status typically shows Exception or Returned
- In the detail view, checkpoint events show the courier's return explanation in red text
What Happens
- The order is flagged as Return to Sender
- If auto-return is configured on your account, a return order is created automatically
- Otherwise, you will see the RTS indicator and can take action manually

FAQ's
Why does my tracking show "Pending" for days? Some couriers take longer to register the first scan. If the status remains Pending for more than 3-5 days, contact qa-testing+operations@floship.com to investigate.
Can I see tracking for all packages in a multi-package order? Yes. In the tracking detail view, use the tracking number dropdown to switch between packages.
What is the difference between "Exception" and "Lost"? Exception means the courier reported a problem (failed attempt, customs hold, etc.) — the package may still be deliverable. Lost means the courier has confirmed the package cannot be found.
How do I know if a package is being returned to sender? Look for the red arrow icon (↩) next to the tracking number in the list. The detail view will show checkpoint events explaining the return.
